Friday – 5/18/2018 – 9 hours before migration begins

A reminder email will be sent out that the migration will begin today.  It will highlight a couple of items such as:

  • Do not change your password until 72 hours after the migration.
  • Do not setup email forwarding from old mailbox as duplicates may be created.

Friday – 5/18/2018 – 1:50PM Arizona Time

Alert that in a few minutes the migration will begin.

What Do I Need to Do Now?

  1. Finish up email now:  If you’re using Outlook, please finish up your work.  We’ll ensure the email you’re working on will copied over too.
  2. Use Your Office 365 Account:  In a few minutes, the Outlook Assistant will automatically setup Outlook to work with your new Office 365 email account.  Leave your computer running and logged in, and you’ll be good to go.
    • If you don’t have the Outlook Assistant, you can download it now, or follow the manual setup instructions below to access your email.
    • Please note:  You may notice your email, calendar, and contacts continuing to migrate into your account over the next few hours.  Don’t worry this is normal.  We’ll make sure all your data arrives safely.
    • Have multiple email accounts in Outlook?  (E.g. Hotmail, Gmail, etc.) Add them to your new Outlook profile after the migration by following these instructions.
  3. Webmail / Mobile Access:  You can always access your email on the web, and on your mobile device.  Please follow the instructions below.
  4. Done! You’ll receive an email to let you know when everything’s complete.

Friday – 5/18/2018 – 2:00PM Arizona Time

Message appears on all computers to accept the start of the migration process.  This begins the migration.  If the user continues to work on their computer, they will notice some slowness as email, contacts etc are being transferred in the background.

Once the migration is complete, Outlook will temporarily shutdown and reopen.  An email message will also be sent indicating the migration has finished.

Friday – 5/18/2018 – 2:00PM Arizona Time through Sunday 12:00AM migration will run for entire company.

Monday – 5/21/2018 – ITG staff will have a physical presence at the following locations:

  • Scottsdale
  • Denver
  • Dallas
  • Tucson
