Fresh off their 10-year anniversary, Imagine Technology Group (ITG Arizona) is gaining momentum.
While many office equipment resellers have experienced revenue declines of 20–30% since the onset of the pandemic in 2020, ITG has more than doubled its revenue.
Office Equipment in Arizona
With nearly 50 employees based at their Chandler, Arizona headquarters, ITG serves customers throughout the Phoenix area and beyond, including Flagstaff and Tempe, among others.
Co-owners Rudy Parga and Chad Schwartz lead the company, selling copiers and multi-function printers (MFPs) from brands such as Sharp, Toshiba, Lexmark, and Brother.
For document management, ITG partners with DocuWare, a well-respected vendor in the industry.
In addition to print services, including managed print solutions powered by PaperCut, ITG offers mailing solutions, phone systems, managed IT services, and security systems.
Christy Gallegos, Director of Sales and Major Accounts, gave me a comprehensive tour of their two-story, 20,000-square-foot building, which they have occupied for seven years and are already outgrowing. They are currently seeking additional space—a good problem to have!
After exploring the facility, we sat down for a conversation to delve deeper into this remarkable story.
Many office equipment dealers have faced challenges over the past two years. Some have managed to maintain their positions, while a select few have actually thrived. ITG is one of those rare success stories.
How They Did It
So, how did they achieve this? The answer lies in traditional methods: networking, building relationships, and genuinely taking care of their customers. For instance, with the Waste Management Phoenix Open approaching next week, ITG is treating some customers and prospects to an extraordinary experience that includes tickets, food, and a fantastic day of world-class golf. Happy customers often become repeat customers.
The ITG Story
Chad founded ITG 11 years ago, and Rudy joined as his partner in 2018, leaving his career as an attorney.
Rudy’s legal background has been particularly advantageous in securing contracts with local law firms, as he understands their needs and has established connections within the field.
Chad boasts over 20 years in the industry, and his team is composed of seasoned professionals, many of whom have also been in the business for years. A key strength of ITG has been its ability to retain talent, a significant challenge for most in the industry. Their employees are satisfied and tend to stay for years.
In Summary
Doubling their size during the COVID-19 pandemic was an impressive feat. However, they are not resting on their laurels; the plan is for substantial growth. Exciting news is on the horizon for this team over the next few years, and we will be here to cover it. Stay tuned!
